This is a first draft. No qualified adviser has read it yet. What it describes is accurate — it was written from the code rather than from memory, and a test holds it there — but the wording is not final.

Univers Systems keeps what it needs to run and one thing more: a record of which pages you opened, which is how we find where people get stuck.

That one thing is yours to refuse, and refusing it changes nothing else about how the platform works.

What is stored

Strictly necessary

Always on

Without these the platform cannot sign you in or remember a preference you set thirty seconds ago.

  • · A sign-in session, so the server knows it is you and can show you your own work.
  • · Your language, your theme and your display density — the choices you made in the interface.
  • · Whether the sidebar is folded, and which sections you left open.
  • · This privacy choice itself, so you are not asked again.

Product analytics

Yours to refuse

We read this to find where people stop. It is the only way we can tell that a screen is confusing rather than unpopular. It is never sold, never shared, and never used to build a profile of you outside Universs.

  • · Which page you opened and when.
  • · How long a page was in front of you, counted only while the window had focus.
  • · Which step of a course or an assessment you reached, and whether you finished it.

If you refuse: Nothing is recorded about where you go in the platform. Your own activity panel will show less, because it is built from the same rows. Everything else works exactly as it did.

What we never do

  • · We do not sell your data, and we do not trade it.
  • · We do not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels or cross-site trackers. There are none in this application.
  • · We do not send your work to a third party for analysis, beyond the AI provider that produces the material you asked for.
  • · We do not read your ideas to build a product of our own.
  • · We do not track you across other websites. We could not: nothing here is loaded by anybody else.

Your rights

  • · You can ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
  • · You can ask us to correct it, or to delete it, and we will unless the law requires us to keep a record.
  • · You can change this choice whenever you like, from the link at the foot of any page.
